While 2020 has been a challenging year for many businesses, Maxi Readymix have thrived with their products, service and expertise being more in-demand than ever before. Consequently, Maxi are delighted to announce the expansion of the business with new plants set up in both Mansfield and Derby.

And the expansion plans do not stop there, with another plant being opened in Coventry in 2021.

In late 2019, Maxi Readymix were brought under the wing of Aggregate Industries and now sit in their business family as part of their ‘Building for Growth’ objective. By early 2020, Maxi had already begun their expansion plan with the opening of a concrete plant in Nottingham.

The development of a further two plants, with a third on the way, is a testament to a business that has been able to thrive during a pandemic and a year that has been a difficult trading time for many firms.

Solutions For Commercial And Domestic Construction Projects …

Maxi have truly shown their business acumen with their construction expertise, customer service and ability to provide readymix concrete specifically tailored to suit every construction need, from farming to driveways, building foundations to screed. Maxi cater to a vast clientele, providing commercial concrete solutions from their main division and also Maxi Minimix, which is ideal for domestic projects and smaller concrete requirements.

The Growth Of Lockdown Construction …

While many industries have suffered in the face of the pandemic, the construction industry has remained strong throughout 2020. The construction sector, considered essential work, meant that it faced minimal impact from the lockdowns imposed. Furthermore, domestic projects have surged with more people at home, looking to improve their space.

Maxi managed to respond to an upsurge in requests and now recognise the demand to serve further afield and to support new regions with readymix concrete. By offering collections, delivery, expert site visits and specialist concreting services, Maxi have continued to serve customers safely and efficiently.

“We understand that 2020 has been a difficult year for many, and we have been glad to support all of our domestic and commercial customers throughout this challenging period. Consequently, we are delighted with the expansion plan of three new strategically placed plants so that we can better serve our clients and support a wider client base. With new plants in Mansfield, Derby and Coventry, we hope we’ll be the first port of call for any concreting project across the whole of the Midlands”
